• 115 Answers SOURCE: your problem is about profiles. The gutenprint is the only way to print from intel to r1800, but this driver don't use the same ICC profiles. You have to use one of three solutions below: 1 the best, you have a profile calibrating device, you make a profile of your couple ink-paper and you convert your document into this ICC profile. 2 you convert your picture into your software in one of the Epson generic profiles (hey probably still are on your computer) and you print whithout color managment 3 (awful) you anticipate the color distorsion and you tune your picture to be bad on the screen but pretty good on paper. They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead. If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges Don Posted on Jan 19, 2010.
